MegaDownloader is no longer BETA! Version 1.0 released!!

A new version of MegaDownloader has been released, version 1.0!!

Instead of publishing version 0.93, we decided to release the version 1.0, leaving the "BETA" term.

The main reason for this decision is because MegaDownloader is mature enough to be considered "stable", not a BETA.

MegaDownloader was released on 1st February 2013.
It was the first application for downloading files from MEGA, and the first application that allowed the users to watch online video files.
For these two years, we have continued working on improving, fixing and developing MegaDownloader, and it is stable enough for everyday use.

The main changes of this version are:
- Fixed error when reading folder links
- Fixed filmaffinity and allocine Library support
- Added support for lix.in and adf.ly links

Of course, we will continue working on improving MegaDownloader even more ;)

    Is speed limiter issue fixed in this build? In previous version when i specify speed limit of 175KB/s my downloading speed it around 330KB/s. So speed limiter doesn't work properly.

      Hi, we are trying to reproduce this problem. For the moment all tests are good, the speed limit seems to be ok in our tests... can you please give us more information (line speed, OS, etc)?

    I get this error:

    how can i rectify?
    i am able to download from mega via browser without any problem.

      This is a timeout, you can't connect to MEGA. Are you behind a proxy?

    then this is version 1 is exactly same changelog or exactly same as ver 0.93 ?
    Because file downloaded always failed and this still good with 0.83

    Until now i'm still with 0.83 before this bugs is fixed.

    downloads constantly don't complete on 100% (99.xx%)

    which is very frustrating.

      Hi, I tried and the download was ok, I could extract all files :(

      Could you please try with a previous version like the 0.83?
      Some people say it works ok with that version, but there is no change in the download system, so I want to confirm it..

    really love your hardwork. there's no error that i found so far, so i love it :D
    wanna give some advice, about mega folder. what about save the file into separated folder like the folder?
    i mean, if a mega folder link have several folders with different files, megadownloader just download all files and save in one folder, not save each file on their own folder.
    that would be perfect if you can upgrade this feature ~

    Hi,
    try to copy-paste all the config directory to another computer.
    then when I open megadownloader's library all the files shown correctly like they should but when I click a file and then download/watch VLC it gives me a pages with the error "FILE DOESNT EXIST".

    how I fix that?

      Hi!
      Try using the "export library" option. The data is ciphered using your system account (for security), if you move the config directory many information will break :(

      I formatted my computer and right now I have only the XML file of my old library, is there anything I can to with that?

      And suggestion:
      enabling to create folders in the media library because it can become full in detials and pictures and it's hard to find what you're looking for.

    I downloaded 3 videos, each size 4GB, 2.5GB and 500MB. From different source.
    And all of them got stuck and corrupt when 5% of length played.

    What's wrong with 1.1?!!! So irritate, how to fix my file?

      I got more irritated issues,
      When downloaded 4GB file, when rearch 3,7GB and connection lost all of sudden. When I got my connection back, the file is cannot be resume download.

    hello there
    thanks very much for your hard work. may i suggest a few additions based on my experience using it?

    1-will you be adding option to pause specific downloads?
    2-i downloaded a file halfway and deleted it from list. (did not delete from disk though). i re-added the download link but the download will not resume. it will start at 0%. will you be fixing this?

      You can right click and pause individual downloads :)
      In the second case, it's probably that the file you downloaded first (or the .part file) still exists in your system. In that case delete it and restart the download. Anyway I take note in order to find a solution :)

    In 0.83+ when the file is corrupted, the corrupted file size is larger than it is meant to be.

    Version 0.83 corrupts files too. The corrupted file is the right size, but some parts of the file are all zero (0x00).

    Can the downloader check if there are many zeroes getting written and try to retry/resume those? How about using the extraction to detect if the CRC is invalid?

    Thanks so much for all your hard work!! A small request: how difficult would it be to periodically ping a specified folder for new files as they are added and automatically download them? If that's a bit too hard, what about monitoring an RSS feed and automatically downloading?

    hi there
    the status of my download showed "completed" but in the remaining column showed many mb's left. the file extension also showed a partially downloaded file. i changed the extension and cant extract the file due to it being incomplete.

    the download has stopped.

    what should i do? download again from the start?

      Maybe there was a problem during the download and the file was not properly saved into your hard disk.
      Could you please send me the logs? Edition/See logs -> enter the log folder and search for the day that you had the problem.
      If there is an error it will appear there and i will be able to check it.

    Languages->

    the german language is not perfect but acceptable.

    the buttons down left and right, are fully wrong named its called "Sparen" and "Kündigen" it must call "Speichern" and "Verwerfen", the english words for it is "Save" and "Discard" that need to fix.


    I am very satisfied, despite the misspelling.

      You can go to Options -> See logs.
      You will see a folder called "logs", and for each day, a file is recorded. Send me the log file of any day that you had experienced the issue, in order to check if there is any kind of problem.

    While I'm getting optimum download speed with the app commensurate to our bandwidth, I've been getting corrupt downloads with MegaDownloader 1.7 using a link from MEGA. Anyone else getting the same problem?

    For my case of corrupted files, i managed o solve it by :
    "Configuration" -> "General" tab -> Both the Number of parallel downloads/ connections = "1"

    i am using megdownloader v 1.7 . everytime the download reach 5gb it sais error. if press see error it show this:
